Description
I need some clarification regarding the Telangana Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme.
My Kalyana Lakshmi application verification has already been completed, and the current status shows that the sanctioned amount has been deposited into the RD account of my Mandal.
After marriage, I changed my Aadhaar surname to my husband's surname. I also have a marriage certificate which shows my maiden name and my name after marriage.
Someone told me that I should not have changed my surname in Aadhaar until the Kalyana Lakshmi amount was credited to my mother's bank account. When I asked the Mandal office, they questioned why I changed the surname without informing them.
My concern is that Aadhaar name changes/corrections are limited. If I change my surname back to my maiden name now, I may not be able to change it again to my husband's surname later.
Has anyone faced a similar situation?
- Will an Aadhaar surname change after Kalyana Lakshmi verification affect the release of the amount?
- Since the verification is already completed and the amount is shown as deposited in the Mandal RD account, is changing the surname back actually necessary?
- Can the marriage certificate be used to establish that the maiden name and married name belong to the same person if there is a name mismatch?
- Is there any official procedure to resolve this without repeatedly changing the Aadhaar name?
Please share your experience, especially if you have recently received Kalyana Lakshmi after changing your surname after marriage.
