Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• The Chhattisgarh Government launched the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana in the year 2024 to support eligible families in building their own houses by providing financial assistance.
• To motivate housing scheme beneficiaries to complete their house construction within a fixed time, the state government later introduced an additional incentive-based programme.
• This incentive scheme is called the Mukhyamantri Griha Pravesh Samman Yojana.
• The Urban Administration and Development Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, is responsible for implementing this scheme across the state.
• Under this programme, the government offers a financial reward to beneficiaries who finish the construction of their houses within a period of 18 months.

Eligibility Requirements

• Permanent Residents of Chhattisgarh are eligible to apply under this scheme.
• The applicant must already be a beneficiary of either the Central Government's PM Awas Yojana or the Chhattisgarh Government's Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
• The beneficiary must have completed the construction of the house within a period of 18 months.

Steps to Apply

• Beneficiaries who complete the construction of their house within 18 months under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana can apply for an additional incentive through the Mukhyamantri Griha Pravesh Samman Yojana application form.
• The application form for this scheme is available free of cost at the following government offices :-

• Applicants must personally collect the Mukhyamantri Griha Pravesh Samman Yojana application form from any of the above offices.
• After collecting the form, the applicant should fill in all required details carefully and attach the necessary supporting documents.
• The completed application form, along with all documents, must be submitted to the same government office from which the form was obtained.
• Concerned officials will examine the submitted application and documents and prepare a list of eligible beneficiaries.
• Officials will also conduct on-site verification to confirm that the house construction has been completed within the prescribed time period.
• Once verification and formal procedures are completed, the government will transfer a reward amount of Rs. 32,850 directly to the beneficiary's bank account for the timely completion of the house.
