Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• In November 2024, the Chhattisgarh Government launched the Mukhyamantri Sushasan Fellowship Yojana in the State.
• The scheme aims to bring young professionals into governance and policy implementation to strengthen administrative efficiency and improve public service delivery.
• The Department of Good Governance & Convergence, Government of Chhattisgarh, implements this scheme in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Raipur.
• Under this fellowship, the state government sponsors the complete tuition fee for selected candidates pursuing an MBA in Public Policy and Governance at IIM Raipur.
• The government also bears the entire cost of the programme, including boarding and lodging.
• Through the Mukhyamantri Sushasan Fellowship Yojana, selected students gain a structured learning experience that includes classroom training in governance, public policy, and public administration at IIM Raipur.
• The programme also provides hands-on exposure through practical training in government departments and district administrations.
• Fellows actively work on real governance challenges as part of an Action Learning Project.
• In addition to academic and field training, the Chhattisgarh Government provides a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 50,000/- to selected fellows.
• The CM Sushasan Fellowship Scheme equips graduate students with practical expertise for roles in public policy, governance consulting, and leadership positions across government and private sectors.
• Graduates with a valid CAT score and an age below 35 years can apply for the Mukhyamantri Sushasan Fellowship Yojana, also known as the Chief Minister's Good Governance Scheme.
• The Government of Chhattisgarh releases admission notifications for this programme every year.
• Eligible candidates can submit online application forms on the official IIM Raipur website, usually between April and May.

Scheme Benefits

• Selected students will get free enrolment in the MBA in Public Policy and Governance at IIM Raipur.
• The Government of Chhattisgarh will bear the complete course fee for enrolled candidates.
• The state government will also cover boarding and lodging expenses.
• Students will receive the opportunity to work directly with various government departments.
• In addition, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000/-.

Eligibility Requirement

• The student should be a Permanent resident of Chhattisgarh
• Application must hold a valid CAT Scorecard
• The maximum age limit for candidates is 35 years.
• Candidates should have completed graduation with at least 60% marks, while reserved category applicants need a minimum of 55%.
• Applicants who have completed CA, CMA (ICWA), or CS must have secured at least 50% marks.
• Selected students need to deposit a refundable security amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- at the time of admission.

Steps to Apply

• Chhattisgarh Government's Mukhyamantri Sushasan Fellowship Yojana application form can be filled out online.
• Candidates need to fill out the online application form available on the official website of IIM Raipur.
• After visiting the official portal, select MBA in Public Policy and Governance from the Programmes tab.
• The website will open a new page displaying complete details of the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship (CMGGF), alias Mukhyamantri Sushasan Fellowship Yojana.
• Applicants should read all the information carefully and then click on Apply Online from the left-side menu.
• Next, click on the Register button and enter basic details such as email ID and mobile number to complete registration.
• After registration, candidates must log in again using the Login ID and Password.
• The Mukhyamantri Sushasan Fellowship Yojana online application form will then appear, which candidates must complete step by step :-
  • First, fill in the Personal Information section.
  • Then enter details under Academic Information.
  • After that, provide information in the Professional Information section.
  • Finally, complete the Other Information section.
• Applicants should review all entered details carefully and click on the Submit button to complete the application process.
• Officials at IIM Raipur will examine all submitted applications.
• The institute will invite shortlisted and eligible candidates for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
• IIM Raipur will issue admission offers to candidates who secure final selection under the Mukhyamantri Sushasan Fellowship Yojana.
• The institute will also forward a separate list of selected students to government authorities for monthly stipend release and programme fee payment.
• Selected candidates must deposit a refundable caution amount of Rs. 1 lakh.
