Description
My name is Chandhrothayam, and I am a native of Ooty. I got married on 18 August 2021, and ours is an intercaste marriage. Based on the government scheme for intercaste marriages, I submitted my application in 2022.
However, despite several years having passed since the application was submitted, I have not received either the financial assistance or the gold benefit under the scheme. During this period, my family and I have made numerous visits and inquiries regarding the status of the application.
On one occasion, we received a call informing us that the amount had been sanctioned and was ready for collection. However, when we visited the concerned office, we were informed that there had been a mistake and that the notification had been sent to the wrong person. We were sent back without any further clarification.
At present, I am residing in Kerala, and for every follow-up regarding this matter, I have to travel to Ooty. Each trip requires considerable time, expense, and effort. We also have a young child, making these frequent journeys even more difficult. Despite our continuous efforts, we have not received any proper update or resolution.
It has now been nearly six years since our marriage, and we are still awaiting the benefits promised under the scheme. Therefore, I humbly request your kind intervention to verify the status of my application and help expedite the process. Your support and guidance in resolving this long-pending issue would be greatly appreciated.
I kindly request you to look into this matter and provide the necessary assistance at the earliest.
