• On March 29, 2026, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president, Mallikarjun Kharge, unveiled the Congress party's manifesto for the 2026 Assam Legislative Assembly Elections.

• One of the five flagship promises is the Cashless Health Insurance Scheme, which proposes to provide cashless health insurance coverage of Rs 25 lakh for every family in Assam.
