Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Chhattisgarh Safai Karmkar Ke Putr/Putri Hetu Vishesh Coaching Yojana is a welfare initiative implemented by the Labour Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh through the Chhattisgarh Unorganized Workers State Social Security Board (also known as Asangathit Karmkar Rajya Samajik Suraksha Mandal). Launched on 11 March 2015, the scheme is designed to support the educational aspirations of the children of registered sanitation workers (safai karmkars) by fully covering the cost of specialised coaching required for admission into professional courses.

Under this scheme, the Board bears the entire coaching fees for engineering, medical, Chartered Accountancy (CA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and other recognised professional courses for a maximum of two children of each registered safai karmkar, provided the children are studying in Class 10 or higher classes. Eligibility is restricted to the children of workers who are duly registered as safai karmkars with the Unorganized Workers Board; only two children per family may avail the benefit, and the same child cannot simultaneously receive assistance under any other similar coaching or educational scheme.

The application process is primarily online and is facilitated through the official Shramev Jayate portal (shramevjayate.cg.gov.in) as well as the "Shramev Jayate" mobile application. Workers who are not yet registered must first complete their registration on the portal; thereafter, applications for the coaching benefit can be submitted online. Assistance for registration, form filling, and application guidance is available at district labour offices and labour resource centres across the state, and downloadable application forms are also provided on the portal for reference.

The key benefits available under this scheme are given below:

• The Board directly pays the full fee for special coaching for competitive exams.
• Financial coverage applies to competitive exam prep for courses including Engineering (JEE), Medical (NEET), Chartered Accountancy (CA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and other higher professional courses.
• In this scheme, up to two children (sons/daughters) per registered sanitation worker family can receive this benefit.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the CG Safai Karmkar Ke Putr/Putri Hetu Vishesh Coaching Yojana, applicants must meet the following official criteria.

• The applicant must be a resident of Chhattisgarh.
• The applicant's parent must be a valid registered unorganized sanitation worker under the Chhattisgarh Unorganized Workers State Social Security Board (Asangathit Karmkar Mandal).
• The student (son or daughter) must be studying in Class 10th or above.
• A maximum of 2 children from a single family can avail of the benefits.
• The applicant must not receive simultaneous parallel coaching assistance or duplicate financial grants for the same purpose from any other government department or program.

• Visit the official Chhattisgarh Labour Department application page.
• On this page, click on Schemes under the Resources tab.
• Here, search Safai Karmakar Ke Putr/Putri Hetu Vishesh Coaching Yojana and click on the Apply tab.
• On the new page, enter your district name and registration number, and click on the Search tab.
• The application form will appear on your screen.
• Fill out the online application form carefully and upload all the required documents.
• After filling in all the details, click on the Submit tab.
