Punjab Disability Pension Scheme

Introduction

• Disabled People often do not have any permanent source of income.
• Due to this they are not able to take care of their daily need expenses.
• Government of Punjab comes to the rescue of disabled people by starting Disability Pension Scheme in State.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial support to disabled people of Punjab.
• Social Security and Women & Child Development Department of Punjab Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• This Scheme is also called "Punjab Financial Assistance to Disable Persons" or "Punjab Disabled Person Pension Scheme".
• Disabled Beneficiary will get Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/- per month.
• Pension amount will be credited in the bank account of beneficiary on Quarterly Basis.
• Person who is at least 50 % disable is eligible for Punjab Disability Pension Scheme.
• If Beneficiary own below mentioned maximum land then he/she is also eligible for Monthly Pension under Punjab Disability Pension Scheme :-
  • Maximum Land of 2.5 Acre Nehri/Chahi OR,
  • Maximum land of 5 Acre Barani OR,
  • Waterlogged Area Land of 5 Acre.
• It is a direct benefit transfer scheme in which monthly pension will be directly credited in the bank account of beneficiary.
• The Annual Family Income should not be more than Rs 60,000/- per year.
• Pension will be sanctioned after due verification of beneficiary.
• Eligible Disabled Beneficiary can apply for Monthly Pension under Punjab Disability Pension Scheme through :-
  • Punjab Disability Pension Scheme by Online Application Form.
  • Punjab Disability Pension Scheme by Offline Application Form.

Benefits

• The below mentioned financial assistance as monthly pension will be provided under Punjab Disability Pension Scheme :-
  • Disability Pension of Rs. 1,500/- per Month.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Punjab.
• Applicant should be Disabled and the Disability Percentage should be more than 50%.
• The Annual Income of Family should not be more than Rs. 60,000/- per Year.
• Beneficiary should not have a more than 200 Sq Mtrs. House in Urban Area.
• Owner of below mentioned land are also eligible for Disability Pension :-
  • Maximum 2.5 Acre Nehri or Chahi Land OR,
  • Maximum 5 Acre Barani Land OR,
  • Waterlogged 5 Acre Land.

Document Required

• The following document that are required at the time of filling the Application Form of Disability Pension Scheme are as follows :-

  Residence Proof of Punjab. Self Declaration Form. Bank Account Detail. Applicant Photo. Any One Document Related to Disability :- UDID Card. Disability Certificate. Civil Surgeon Disability Certificate. Any One Documents of Parents/ Guardian for Proof of Residence :- Driving License. Passport. Voter Identity Card. Aadhar Card. Any One Document for Age Proof :- Aadhar Card. Voter Identity Card. Birth Certificate. Matriculation Certificate.

Online Application Process

• Eligible Disabled Beneficiary can avail the benefit of monthly disability pension by filling the Online Application Form of Punjab Disability Pension Scheme.
• Online Application Form of Punjab Disability Pension Scheme is available on Digital Punjab Portal of Punjab Government.
• Beneficiary has to Register themselves first in order to fill the application form.
• Below mentioned details will be filled in the Registration Form :-
  • Name of Applicant.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Email ID
  • Gender.
  • Password.
• After Registration, Login with Email ID or Mobile Number and Chosen Password.
• Choose Disability Pension Scheme after Login and fill the following detail in Punjab Disability Pension Scheme Online Application Form :-
  • Personal Details.
  • Contact Details.
• Upload all the required document.
• Click on Submit Button to Submit the Online Application Form of Punjab Disability Pension Scheme.
• The Application will be Scrutinized by the following Officers of Social Security and Women & Child Development Department :-
  • Child Development Project Officer.
  • District Social Security Officers.
• After Verification ,Selected Disabled Beneficiary will get Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/-per month in their given account.
• Beneficiary can also check the Application Status of Punjab Disability Pension Scheme Online.

Offline Application Process

• Eligible Beneficiary can also apply through Offline Application Form to avail the benefit of monthly disability pension.
• Disabled Beneficiary can collect Application Form of Disability Pension Scheme at any of the below mentioned Offices/ Centres :-
  • Panchayat and B.D.P.O Office.
  • Anganwadi Centre.
  • Office of Child Development Project Officer.
  • SDM Office.
  • Sewa Kendra.
  • Office of District Social Security Officer.
• Filled the Application Form of Punjab Disability Pension Scheme carefully.
• Attach all the required document with the application form.
• Submit the Application Form of Punjab Disability Pension Scheme along with all the document in the same office or centre.
• Application Form and Documents will be scrutinized by the Child Development Project Officer and District Social Security Officer.
• After Verification, Selected Disabled Beneficiary will get monthly pension of Rs. 1,500/- per month in their given bank account.
