Karnataka Samagra Mathru Arogya Palana Scheme

Introduction

• Karnataka Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme is the major welfare scheme of Karnataka Government for the welfare of pregnant women and lactating mother.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide below mentioned facilities to pregnant women of state :-
  • Free of Cost Delivery Services in Government and Private Hospitals.
  • Financial Assistance to take care pre and post delivery expenses.
  • Providing Madilu Kit consists 19 daily use items.
• Department of Health and Family Welfare is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Karnataka Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme has 4 important sub schemes :-
  • Thayi Bhagya Scheme.
  • Thayi Bhagya Plus Scheme.
  • Prasoothi Araike Scheme.
  • Madilu Kit Scheme.
• Each sub scheme has its own benefits and are very beneficial to the pregnant and lactating mother of the State of Karnataka.
• Thayi Bhagya Scheme provides :-
  • Free of Cost Delivery in Private or Government Hospital.
  • Cashless Treatment during Pre and Post Pregnancy Period.
  • Free Transportation Facility.
  • Free of Cost Checkups and Medicines
• Thayi Bhagya Plus Scheme provides financial assistance of Rs. 1000/- to those pregnant women who choose to deliver her baby in non empanelled private hospitals.
• Prasoothi Araike Scheme provides :-
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 3,000/- to SC and ST Lactating Mother.
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 2,000/- to BPL Category Lactating Mother.
• And in Madilu Kit Scheme, a kit of 19 daily use items costing around Rs. 1,500/- will be provided to women after delivering the child.
• This scheme is making an safe environment for the pregnant women, lactating mother and their new born child.
• Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme will help to decrease the infant mortality rate in the Karnataka.
• Women belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and BPL Category are eligible to apply any sub scheme according to their eligibility conditions under Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme.
• Eligible beneficiaries can contact the ASHA Worker or ANM to avail the benefit of Karnataka Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme's sub schemes.

Eligibility

• Beneficiary Women should be resident of Karnataka.
• Following Women are eligible to avail the benefits :-
  • Women who deliver her child in non empanelled private hospital.
  • Women belongs to BPL Category.
  • Women belongs to Schedule Caste/ Tribe Category.

• The following documents is required at the time of applying for Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme of Karnataka Government :-
  • Residence Proof of Karnataka.
  • BPL Card or Ration Card.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • ANC Registration Number.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Details.

How to Apply

• There is no need to apply separately for Karnataka Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme.
• Beneficiaries can contact their area's ASHA Worker or Junior Female Health Officer.
• They can register the beneficiaries separately in each scheme.
• ASHA Worker or Junior Family Health Officer will registered the women and forwarded the application for further approval.
