Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview
The West Bengal Old Age Pension Scheme was launched by the Government of West Bengal in 2010. The primary objective of the scheme is to provide monthly financial assistance to elderly citizens who do not have a stable source of income during old age. My mother Mrs Ranu Basu (age 76, beneficiary id=WB-S-08364873, lives at Raniganj) did not receive old age pesion for 11 months from feb 2024 to march 2025. I informed and submited all needed documents (live certificate, adaar card photocopy etc) several times to Asansol Municipal Corporation to relase my mother's old age pension of Rs 11000, but till date not received.
