The scheme will be implemented by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Its objective is to provide customised and employment-oriented skill training for Divyangjan in sectors that offer task-oriented and process-driven job roles suitable for persons with disabilities.

The scheme is expected to benefit Divyangjan seeking industry-based training and better livelihood opportunities in emerging sectors such as Information Technology (IT), Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC), Hospitality, and Food & Beverage Services.
