Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

Stipend Continuation Rules

Admission to an eligible programme does not by itself guarantee the stipend throughout the course. Students must continue to satisfy the academic, attendance and other conditions prescribed by the Indian Statistical Institute.

• Full stipend continuation generally requires an average composite score of at least 60%, along with the applicable course-wise conditions.
• Students with an average composite score of at least 45% but below 60% may receive half of the applicable stipend, subject to the prescribed conditions.
• A student who does not meet the minimum academic requirements may not receive the stipend for the applicable period.
• At least 75% attendance in all courses during a semester is required for stipend continuation in the following semester.
• A student repeating an academic year is not entitled to the stipend or contingency grant during the repeat year.
