Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Haryana Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana is an important scheme launched by the Government of Haryana under the Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) programme. The objective of the scheme is to provide safe and hygienic sanitary napkins to women and adolescent girls from economically weaker families during menstruation and to promote awareness about menstrual hygiene. The scheme is being implemented by the Women and Child Development Department, Haryana.

Under the scheme, adolescent girls and women aged 10 to 45 years belonging to BPL (Below Poverty Line) families in Haryana will receive 6 free sanitary napkins every month for one year. To avail of the benefits, eligible beneficiaries must apply through the government-designated online portal and submit their application by contacting their nearest Anganwadi Centre (AWC). As per the latest notification, applications will be accepted until 31 July 2026.

The scheme is not limited to the distribution of free sanitary napkins. It also plays an important role in promoting awareness about Menstrual Hygiene, reducing the risk of infections and other health-related problems, encouraging regular school attendance among adolescent girls, and providing them with a safe and dignified environment. Objective of the Scheme

The primary objective of the Haryana Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana is to provide free sanitary napkins to adolescent girls and women from economically weaker families to support proper menstrual hygiene. Along with this, the scheme aims to create awareness about safe menstrual hygiene management, reduce infections and other health issues caused by the use of unhygienic materials, and ensure the health, safety, and dignity of women and adolescent girls.

Through this scheme, the Government also aims to increase public awareness, eliminate myths and misconceptions related to menstruation, and provide women and adolescent girls with access to safe, hygienic, and affordable menstrual hygiene management facilities.

Under the Haryana Mahila Evam Kishori Samman Yojana, eligible beneficiaries will receive the following benefits:-

Eligibility Requirements

To avail of the benefits of the scheme, the applicant must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:-

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Haryana.
• The applicant must belong to a BPL (Below Poverty Line) family.
• Adolescent girls and women aged 10 to 45 years are eligible under the scheme.

Steps to Apply

• Step 1: Apply Online

• The concerned department will verify the application and the applicant's eligibility.
