Scheme Benefits

The Rajasthan Government provides a scooty and specified additional benefits to students selected under the Kali Bai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana. The benefits are provided according to the applicable scheme guidelines and the student's selection category.

• Provides a free scooty to every selected meritorious girl student.
  • Students can choose either a petrol scooty or an electric (EV) scooty.
• Covers five additional costs on top of the scooty itself:
  • All transport expenses until the scooty reaches the student, including its registration and transfer into her name.
  • One year of general/comprehensive insurance.
  • Five years of third-party insurance.
  • Two litres of petrol, given once at the time of delivery.
  • One ISI-marked helmet.
• Gives disabled students the option of a motorised tricycle instead of a two-wheeler scooty.
• Pays ₹40,000 in cash instead of a scooty to a student who already received one earlier based on her Class 10 result, if she is otherwise eligible this year.
• Reserves a share of scooties for disabled girl students within each category track.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a domiciled resident of Rajasthan.
• Open only to girl students.
• Must have passed Class 12 as a regular student.
  • Marks from a compartment or supplementary exam are not counted.
  • Minimum 65% (RBSE) or 75% (CBSE) for General, SC, ST, EBC and Minority students.
  • Minimum 60% (RBSE) or 70% (CBSE) for Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribe students.
• Must take regular admission into an undergraduate degree at a Rajasthan college or university.
  • No gap year is allowed between passing Class 12 and taking admission.
  • Covers degree courses such as B.A.B.Ed, B.Sc.B.Ed, B.Com.B.Ed, BE/B.Tech, B.Arch, MBBS, BBA, BBM, BCA, BDS, BHMS, BAMS and LAW.
• Family annual income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
  • For the ST track (Tribal Area Development Department), the family must simply not be an income-tax payee.
• Students admitted under the Right to Education (RTE) Act get priority within their category.
• Already receiving another scholarship does not disqualify a student from this scheme.
• Covers the General, SC, ST, EBC, Minority, and Denotified/Nomadic/Semi-Nomadic Tribe categories.
  • The Minority category runs as separate merit lists for Muslim, Jain and Sikh students.
• A student who already got a scooty under any state scheme before this one existed is not eligible.
  • Exception: a student who got one based on her Class 10 result receives ₹40,000 in cash instead, if she's eligible again this year.
