Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this scheme, an applicant generally needs to meet the following conditions:

• Be a resident farmer of Assam.
• Be a small or marginal farmer (large farmers are not the target of this scheme).
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Have at least three consecutive years of cultivation experience.
• Have an active bank account (needed for the DBT payment).
• Only one farmer per family can benefit under the scheme.
• Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders are eligible.
• Tenant farmers and sharecroppers may also be considered, provided they cultivate the minimum required area (around one acre).

Steps to Apply

The application process for Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana (MMKSSY) is offline. Eligible farmers can apply by following the steps given below:

• Download the application form from the Directorate of Agriculture website.
• Fill the form carefully with accurate personal, land, cultivation experience, and bank account details.
• Attach self-attested copies of the all required documents.
• Submit the completed form to the local Agriculture Extension Assistant (AEA). The AEA collects applications along with bank account and mobile number details.
• Applications are compiled at the Gaon Panchayat / Village Development Committee level.
• The compiled list is scrutinised by the Agriculture Development Officer (ADO).
• The scrutinised list is placed before the District Level Committee for final approval.
• Approved lists are forwarded to the Director of Agriculture, who arranges the DBT payment through the Assam State Agricultural Finance Corporation (ASFAC).
• The final list of selected beneficiaries is published on the respective district website and displayed on office notice boards for public information.
