Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini formally announced the Ekmusht Niptan Yojana for Farmers on 10-12-2025.
• The scheme has been introduced to support farmers who are struggling to clear pending agricultural loans taken from Primary Agricultural Credit Societies.
• Through Ekmusht Niptan Yojana for Farmers, the Haryana Government seeks to ease the financial pressure on farmers and enable them to resolve their loan liabilities in a simple, fair, and transparent manner.
• The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Haryana has been designated as the nodal authority responsible for implementing the scheme.
• The state government grants a complete waiver of interest charged on PACS loans under the Ekmusht Niptan Yojana for Farmers.
• This interest relief is provided only after the farmer deposits the full principal loan amount with the concerned Primary Agricultural Credit Societies.
• The scheme will remain in force up to 31 March 2026, as notified by the Haryana Government.
• In situations where a farmer has passed away, eligible family members are also entitled to receive the benefit of an interest waiver under the scheme.
• Only permanent resident farmers of Haryana who have availed loans from Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and are ready to repay the principal amount are eligible for benefits under this scheme.
• Farmers are not required to submit any separate application to participate in the scheme.
• They simply need to deposit the principal loan amount with their Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, after which the society completes the settlement and the interest, along with penal charges is waived automatically by the government.
• According to government estimates, the Ekmusht Niptan Yojana for Farmers is expected to benefit nearly 6.81 lakh farmers across Haryana, with an interest waiver amounting to over Rs. 2,266 crore.
• Haryana Government's another welfare scheme named "Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana" is providing per monthly assistance of Rs. 2,100/- per month to all eligible women applicants of the state.

Scheme Benefits

• The Haryana Government will grant full exemption from the interest charged on the loan under this scheme.
• This interest relief will be available only after the farmer deposits the entire principal loan amount.
• The Ekmusht Niptan Yojana for Farmers will remain effective up to 31 March 2026.
• In case of a farmer's death, eligible family members can also avail the scheme's benefits, subject to applicable conditions.

Eligibility Requirement

• Only farmers who are permanent residents of Haryana can avail the benefits of this scheme.
• The applicant must have obtained an agricultural loan through a Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS).
• To be eligible, the farmer should be willing to repay the original loan amount, as the interest and penalty portion is covered under the scheme.

Steps to Apply

• Farmers are not required to submit any separate application to avail benefits under the Haryana Government's Ekmusht Niptan Yojana for Farmers.
• Eligible beneficiaries are identified and included in the scheme automatically through their respective Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS).
• To receive the interest relief, farmers only need to repay the original loan amount by depositing it into the bank account of their PACS.
• Once the principal amount is credited, the PACS completes the loan closure under the Ekmusht Niptan Yojana for Farmers.
• After settlement, the Haryana Government grants relief by fully waiving the interest and any penalty charges levied on the outstanding loan.
• This system enables farmers to clear their pending loans smoothly without paperwork, online forms, or direct government applications.
• If farmers need guidance or support related to the scheme, they can directly approach the officials or committee members of their PACS for assistance.
