Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Government of Uttar Pradesh has launched the Shravan Kumar Shramik Parivar Tirth Yatra Yojana to support the mental well-being and overall quality of life of workers. The government recognises that just like the body needs proper nutrition, the mind also needs rest, positive experiences, and time with family to stay healthy and balanced. Many workers, due to long and demanding work schedules, often face stress and mental fatigue, which can affect their daily lives and productivity.

To address this, the government aims to give workers a chance to take a break from routine life and spend meaningful time with their families. Under this scheme, eligible workers receive one-time financial assistance of up to Rs 12,000 to visit religious, historical, and tourist places. The last date to apply for this scheme every year is 30th September. This support allows them to relax, refresh their minds, and return with renewed energy.

The scheme also encourages stronger family bonding by allowing workers to travel with their spouse, up to two unmarried children, and parents, covering a maximum of six family members. It focuses not just on financial help, but on improving the overall well-being of workers by reducing stress and bringing balance to their lives.
