Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Raja Harishachandra Shramik Mratak Antyeshti Sahayata Yojana is a welfare initiative by the Uttar Pradesh Government designed to support the families of registered workers who pass away while on duty. The scheme provides a one-time financial assistance (Rs. 10,000/-) directly to the beneficiary's bank account to help cover funeral and immediate expenses. It ensures timely, transparent, and straightforward support, offering relief to families during a difficult time. Eligible applicants include the spouse, dependent children, or, in the case of an unmarried worker, the parents. Applications are submitted online, verified by authorities, and the benefit is transferred once approved.

Eligibility Requirements

• The worker must be employed in an establishment registered under the Factories Act, 1948.
• The worker's monthly salary (basic + dearness allowance) should not exceed Rs 24,000.
• The application must be submitted within one year of the date of the worker's death.
• Under this scheme, financial assistance will be given to the worker's spouse, dependent children (sons or unmarried daughters), or, if the worker was unmarried, to the parents.

Required Documents

• Verified scanned copy of the online application form submitted for the scheme.
• Scanned copy of the beneficiary's bank passbook (with IFSC code).
• Proof of relationship with the deceased, such as a ration card, family register, or other government document.
• Death certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths.

Steps to Apply

• First, visit the official website of "Labour Welfare Board Deapartment of Uttar Pradesh in your browser and press Enter.
• Click on “Labour Application (skip it if you are already a member)”.
• If you are a new user, click “Register New User”, complete the registration form, and submit it. Your chosen User ID and password will be sent to your mobile number.
• Then, log in using your User ID and password.
• Select the "Raja Harishachandra Shramik Mratak Antyeshti Sahayata Yojana.”, fill out the given form, upload your photo, and submit the application.
• After submitting, take a printout of the scheme application.
• Get the printed application verified by the factory/establishment.
• Log in again using your previously provided User ID and password, click on “Scheme Application Details”, upload the scanned copy of the verified application and the required documents, and save.
• After successful verification of the scheme application, the financial assistance amount will be transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account. An SMS will be sent to the beneficiary’s mobile number confirming this.
• The status of the scheme application can be checked by clicking on “Application Status”.
