Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Jyotiba Phule Shramik Kanyadan Yojana (JPSKPY) is a welfare scheme by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, implemented through the Uttar Pradesh Labour Welfare Board. It aims to support worker families during important life events like a daughter's marriage by providing financial assistance of Rs 51,000, helping ease the financial burden and offering timely support.

This scheme is available to workers employed in establishments registered under the Factories Act, 1948, whose monthly salary (basic plus dearness allowance) does not exceed Rs 24,000. The benefit can be availed for the marriage of up to two daughters, provided the daughter is at least 18 years old at the time of marriage. To ensure flexibility, applications can be submitted up to three months before or within one year after the marriage date.

To receive the benefit, applicants must complete the online application process and submit essential documents such as a verified application form, bank passbook details, proof of the daughter's age (like Aadhaar or a government-issued certificate), and a copy of the wedding invitation card.

Through this initiative, the government aims to provide timely financial support, reduce the economic burden on worker families, and ensure that daughters' marriages can be conducted with dignity and ease.

Eligibility Requirements

• Workers must be employed in an establishment registered under the Factories Act, 1948.
• Monthly salary (basic + dearness allowance) should not exceed Rs 24,000.
• The application can be submitted 3 months before or 1 year after the daughter’s marriage date.
• Scheme benefits are available only for the worker’s or the maximum two daughters’ marriages.
• The daughter must be at least 18 years old at the time of marriage.

Required Documents

• Verified copy of the submitted online application form
• Self-attested bank passbook copy (with IFSC code)
• Self-attested Aadhaar or age proof of the daughter
• Self-attested copy of the wedding invitation card

Steps to Apply

• Visit the official site of the Labour Welfare Council, Department, Uttar Pradesh.
• On the right side of the homepage, click on “Shramik Application Login”.
• If you are a new user, click “New User Register”, fill in the registration form, and submit. Your desired user ID and password will be sent to your mobile number.
• Log in using your credentials.
• Select the “The Jyotiba Phule Shramik Kanyadan Yojana (JPSKPY)” scheme, fill in the given form, upload the required photo, and submit.
• After submission, print a copy of the scheme application.
• Get the printed application verified by the educational institution and the factory/establishment.
• Log in again with your user ID and password, click on “Scheme Application Details”, upload the scanned copy of the verified application and other required documents, and save.
• After successful verification of the application, the benefit amount will be transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account, and an SMS notification will be sent to the beneficiary’s mobile.
• The status of the application can be checked by clicking on “Application Status”.
