Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview
- Many people in Rajasthan faced financial problems because they didn't have their own source of income.
- They faced various difficulties due to an unstable income source.
- Keeping these issues in mind, the Government of Rajasthan started the Social Security Pension Scheme.
- The main objective behind launching the Social Security Pension Scheme is to provide financial security to needy people of Rajasthan.
- Under the Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme, there are four sub-schemes based on different categories of people:
- More than 93 lakh people have registered for a monthly pension under these schemes.
- Earlier, the Government of Rajasthan provided a minimum monthly pension ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 750.
- In 2023, the Rajasthan Government increased this monthly pension amount by 15 per cent.
- After this increase, the minimum monthly pension under the Social Security Pension Scheme became Rs. 1,000 per month.Later, the government again increased the pension amount to Rs. 1,150 in 2024, followed by Rs. 1,250 in 2025.
- In 2026, the government further increased the pension amount to Rs. 1,300 per month.
- In the 2026 annual budget, the government announced another increase of Rs. 150.
- Now, the minimum pension has been raised to Rs. 1,450 per month for eligible beneficiaries up to 75 years of age.
- Only previously registered pensioners will get the benefit of the increased pension amount.
- Beneficiaries will have to register themselves for an increased pension amount by visiting their area's nearest Mehngai Rahat Camp.
- Jan-Aadhar Card is mandatory at the time for Social Security Pension Scheme Registration.

Steps to Apply
- Pensioners who are eligible for the Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme can register offline.
- For this, they can visit the nearest E-Mitra Centre or Kiosk.
- A person available at the centre will fill out your pension application.
- For this, you need to share your personal and other details with the person available at the centre.
- Along with this, also provide the necessary documents to support your eligibility.
- For verification, your application will be forwarded to the Tahsildar/Nayab Tahsildar/Nagar Palika/Nagar Nigam.
- After successful verification, you will receive an intimation via SMS on your registered mobile number.
- From the following month, the pension amount will be disbursed to your bank account.
