- இந்த முயற்சி "இலவச மடிக்கணினி திட்டம்" என்ற பெயரில் தொடங்கப்பட உள்ளது; இது "தமிழ்நாடு அரசு மடிக்கணினி திட்டம்" என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
- இந்த திட்டத்தின் நோக்கம் டிஜிட்டல் இடைவெளியை குறைத்து, மாணவர்கள் கல்விக்குத் தேவையான அடிப்படை டிஜிட்டல் சாதனங்களைப் பெற உதவுவதாகும்.
- இந்த திட்டத்தை தமிழ்நாடு அரசு வரும் நாட்களில் அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக செயல்படுத்த திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.
- தமிழ்நாடு மின்சாதன நிறுவனம் இந்த திட்டத்தின் அனைத்து செயல்பாடுகளையும் கண்காணித்து, நிர்வகிக்கும்.
- இந்த திட்டம் மாநிலத்தில் பல கட்டங்களில் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படும்.
- முதல் கட்டத்தில், சுமார் 20 லட்சம் கல்லூரி மாணவர்களுக்கு தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் இலவச மடிக்கணினி திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளில் மடிக்கணினிகள் வழங்கப்படுவர்.
- தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள அரசு கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் சேர்க்கப்பட்ட கலை, அறிவியல், பொறியியல், விவசாயம் மற்றும் மருத்துவப் படிப்புகளில் சேர்க்கப்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் இந்த திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இலவசமாக மடிக்கணினிகள் பெறத் தகுதி வாய்ந்தவர்கள்.
- தமிழ்நாடு அரசு இந்த திட்டத்தை செயல்படுத்த 2025-26 பட்ஜெட்டில் ரூ.2,000 கோடியை ஒதுக்கியுள்ளது.
- ஏற்கனவே தமிழ்நாடு மின்சாதன நிறுவனம் பயனாளிகளுக்கான உயர்தர மற்றும் நம்பகமான மடிக்கணினிகளை வாங்க டெண்டர் அறிவித்துள்ளது.
- தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட உற்பத்தியாளர் சாதனங்களை வழங்கியவுடன், அரசு மாநிலம் முழுவதும் விநியோகத்தை தொடங்கும்.
- மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் மடிக்கணினிகளின் தயாரிப்பு விவரங்கள் பின்வருமாறு :-
- 8 GB DDR4 RAM (2400 MHz அல்லது அதற்கு மேல்).
- 14-இன்ச் அல்லது 15.6-இன்ச் திரை.
- குறைந்தது மூன்று USB போர்ட்கள்.
- 256 GB SSD சேமிப்புக்காக.
- 128 MB அல்லது அதற்கு மேல் VRAM.
- புளூடூத் 5.0 அல்லது புதிய பதிப்பு.
- 720p HD வெப்கேம்.
- சிஸ்டம் விண்டோஸ் 11 Home, Strategic OS, அல்லது BOSS Linux-ல் இயங்கும்.
- மாணவர்கள் மைக்ரோசாப்ட் சேவைகளுக்கான ஒரு வருட சந்தாவையும் பெறுவர்.
- புரொசஸர்: Intel i3, AMD Ryzen 3, அல்லது தமிழ்நாடு மின்சாதன நிறுவனம் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட சமமானது.

- என்றாலும், தமிழ்நாடு இலவச மடிக்கணினி திட்டத்தின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ இணையதளம் செயல்பாட்டில் உள்ளது. புதுப்பிப்புகளை பெற நிரந்தரமாக பார்க்கவும்.
- இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இலவச மடிக்கணினிக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்க எந்த நேரடி விண்ணப்ப வழியும் இல்லை.
- அரசு தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் இலவச மடிக்கணினி (Free Laptop) திட்டத்தின் கீழ், பயனாளி மாணவர்களின் தேர்வு கல்லூரி அல்லது பல்கலைக்கழக மட்டத்தில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும்.
- மாணவர்கள் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் பிற நலத்திட்டங்களுக்காகவும் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம், உதாரணமாக "புதுமை பெண் திட்டம்" மற்றும் "தமிழ் புதல்வன் திட்டம்".
திட்டத்தின் நன்மைகள்
- இந்த திட்டத்தின் கீழ் தகுதி வாய்ந்த மாணவர்கள் இலவசமாக மடிக்கணினிகள் பெறுவர்.
- மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் மடிக்கணினியின் மதிப்பு ரூ. 30,000/- ஆகும்.
தகுதி நிபந்தனை
- விண்ணப்பிக்கும் மாணவர் தமிழ்நாட்டின் நிரந்தர குடியிருப்பாளராக இருக்க வேண்டும்.
- மாணவர் தங்களது சம்பந்தப்பட்ட பாடத்தின் இறுதி ஆண்டில் பயிலும் நிலையில் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
- தகுதி பெற்ற மாணவர்கள் கீழ்க்கண்ட கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் ஏதேனும் ஒன்றில் சேர்ந்து படித்து கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும் :-
- அரசு கலை பல்கலைக்கழகம் /கல்லூரி.
- அரசு வேளாண்மை பல்கலைக்கழகம் /கல்லூரி.
- அரசு மருத்துவ பல்கலைக்கழகம் /கல்லூரி.
- அரசு அறிவியல் அல்லது பொறியியல் பல்கலைக்கழகம் / கல்லூரி.
- அரசு தொழிற்பயிற்சி நிறுவனம் (ITI) அல்லது பாலிடெக்னிக்.
- அரசு சட்டப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் / கல்லூரி.

- தமிழ்நாடு இருப்பிடச் சான்று அல்லது ஏதேனும் வசிப்பிடச் சான்று.

விண்ணப்பிக்கும் முறை
- தமிழ்நாடு அரசு 2025–2026 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான மாநில பட்ஜெட்டை தாக்கல் செய்த போது, மாநிலம் முழுவதும் உள்ள மாணவர்களிடையே டிஜிட்டல் கல்வியை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்குடன் இலவச மடிக்கணினி (லேப்டாப்) திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது.
- இந்த முயற்சியின் மூலம், மாணவர்களின் கல்விப் பயணத்திற்கு ஆதரவாக அவசியமான தொழில்நுட்ப வளங்களை அணுகும் வசதியை அரசு வழங்க விரும்புகிறது.
- மாநிலத்தின் மின்னணு கழகம் பயனாளிகளுக்காக நவீனமும் உயர் செயல்திறனும் கொண்ட மடிக்கணினிகளை கொள்முதல் செய்யும் பொறுப்பை ஏற்கும்.
- 2026 ஜனவரி 5 அன்று, முதல்வர் திரு. மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் அவர்கள் இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் முதல் கட்டத்தை அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக தொடங்கி வைத்து, தகுதியான மாணவர்களுக்கு மடிக்கணினிகள் வழங்கும் பணியை ஆரம்பித்து வைத்தார்.
- இந்தத் திட்டத்தை அரசு எந்தவிதமான ஆன்லைன் விண்ணப்ப முறையிலும் செயல்படுத்தவில்லை.
- மாணவர்கள் இந்த நலனுக்காக இணையதளம் அல்லது டிஜிட்டல் போர்டல் மூலம் விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியாது.
- இதற்கு பதிலாக, தமிழ்நாடு அரசு கல்லூரிகள், பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் மற்றும் அரசு அங்கீகாரம் பெற்ற கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் மூலமாகவே இந்தத் திட்டத்தை நேரடியாக செயல்படுத்துகிறது.
- தகுதியான பயனாளிகளை அடையாளம் காணவும், திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பை மேற்கொள்ளவும் இந்த கல்வி நிறுவனங்களே முக்கிய பங்கு வகிக்கின்றன.
- ஒவ்வொரு கல்லூரி அல்லது பல்கலைக்கழகமும் அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ள வழிகாட்டுதல்களை கடைப்பிடித்து, தகுதியான மாணவர்களின் பட்டியலைத் தயாரிக்கிறது.
