Introduction

• Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojna is a short term training programme of Indian Railways.
• It is a training programme comes under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna.
• Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is the flagship scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
• Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojna is a skill development training programme in 16 trades.
• The candidate will be given training for 3 weeks i.e. 18 days in a specific trade choosen by him.
• Free of cost training will be provided to the candidate.
• After successful completion of training, candidate will be provided a training completion certificate.

Objective

• To train youth in their respective trade of interest.
• Helping the candidate to get an employment.
• Make the candidate self employed.

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
• Age of the candidate should be between 18-35 years.
• Candidate should be 10th passed or equivalent from an institution recognized by state/central government.
• Candidate should be medically fit. (Medical Certificate is required).

Document required

• Class 10th Marksheet.
• Class 10th passing certificate.
• Scanned Photograph and Signature.
• Photo Identity Proof (Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook, Ration Card, Pan Card.)
• Affidavit on Rs. 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper.
• Medical Certificate issued by registered MBBS practitioner.

How to Apply

• First visit official website of Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
• Click on Apply Here, that appears on home page.
• Click on Sign Up to make a new account on portal.
• Fill all the necessary details :-
  • Full Name.
  • Email.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Date of Birth.
  • Aadhar Number.
  • Password.
  • Confirm Password.
  • After clicking on Sign Up, your profile will be created.
• Sign In to the profile by using your Email and Password.
• Fill all the necessary required information.
• Upload your scanned photograph and signature.
• Submit the application.
• Shortlisted candidate shall be informed through email and SMS.
• After getting shortlisted candidate have to upload scanned copies of :-
  • 10th Marksheet or,
  • 10th Certificate.
  • Photo ID Proof.
  • Notarized Affidavit.
  • Medical Certificate.
• Uploading of Document is necessary.
• Training institute will also verify the documents and then finalize the list of the candidates.
• Selected candidate will be informed about the training dates by email.

Selection Procedure

• Selection of the candidate is purely merit based.
• Percentage marks of a candidate in Class 10th will be the basis of preparing merit.
• In case of CGPA, percentage marks will be calculated by multiplying CGPA with 9.5.
• After accepting all the application, merit will be prepared and selected candidate called for training.

Features of the Scheme

• Under Rail Kausal Vikas Yojna there is a 18 day free of cost training programme.
• Candidate can choose to get training in any of the 16 trade available.
• There is 92 training centers of Indian Railways across the country to provide training to candidate.
• The target under this scheme to train 50,000 youth in a period of 3 years.
• After successful completion of training a certificate is provided to candidate.
• Till date 9515 candidates get enrolled under this scheme and 6396 successfully completed their training.
• No stipend will be paid by training institute to the candidate in any circumstances.
• Candidate will have to make their own arrangement for fooding and lodging.
• No type of allowance is to be paid by training institute to any candidate.
• Training will given to candidate only in day time.
• Candidates will be liable to pay if any damage caused by them at the time of training.
• Candidate should be medically fit to undergo training.
• Candidate should mandatorily secure the 55% marks in written and 60% marks in practical to get themselves passed in training.
• 75 % of attendance is mandatory for the candidate.
• On the basis of training candidate have no right to claim employment in railways.
• There is no reservation, selection is purely based on merit.
