Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Scheme is a women-focused financial assistance scheme of the Government of Madhya Pradesh that aims to strengthen the economic position of women and improve their health and nutrition. Under the scheme, eligible women receive Rs. 1,500/- per month through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in their Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled bank account. The assistance provides women with regular financial support for household and other essential expenses.

The Government of Madhya Pradesh will continue to provide the benefits of the Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Scheme in the coming years. The government has made provision to continue the scheme up to the financial year 2030-31, subject to the applicable scheme provisions and budgetary arrangements. This continuation will provide eligible women with ongoing financial support under the scheme.

The scheme covers eligible women who are permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh. Married women, including widowed, divorced and deserted women, can receive the benefit if they meet the prescribed conditions. The applicant must have completed 21 years and be below 60 years of age as on 1 January of the application calendar year. The scheme applies subject to the prescribed income, employment, landholding, vehicle ownership and other eligibility conditions.

To receive the benefit, the applicant must complete the required Samagra and Aadhaar e-KYC and have an individual Aadhaar-linked, DBT-enabled bank account. Women can submit their Ladli Behna Scheme application through the prescribed offline process at designated camps, Gram Panchayat or Ward Office. The application-related information is then entered online through the Ladli Behna portal or mobile app by the designated official. The applicant must remain personally present for live photography and e-KYC.

The Madhya Pradesh Ladli Behna Scheme application process is free of cost. After successful online entry, the applicant receives an acknowledgement receipt, which may also be sent through SMS or WhatsApp. After the application period ends, the provisional beneficiary list is published, and eligible applicants can raise objections within the prescribed 15-day period. The scheme also provides for regular monthly assistance, subject to continued eligibility and verification under the prescribed guidelines.

The Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Madhya Pradesh, is the nodal department for implementing the scheme. The revised guidelines also provide detailed procedures for application verification, publication of beneficiary lists, objection disposal and transfer of assistance to eligible beneficiaries.

Latest Update

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer the 41st instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana today, i.e., on 14 October 2026. The instalment will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1,500 to each eligible beneficiary. The programme will take place in Garhakota, Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh.

Scheme Benefits

• Each eligible woman will receive financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month.
• The monthly assistance will be transferred to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked DBT-enabled bank account.
• If an eligible woman below 60 years receives less than Rs. 1,500/- per month under a social security pension or another scheme, the amount under this scheme will be increased so that she receives a total of Rs. 1,500/- per month.
• The scheme aims to promote women's economic empowerment, improve their health and nutrition, and strengthen their role in family decision-making.

Eligibility Requirements

• The applicant must be a woman and a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
• The applicant must be married.
• Widowed, divorced and deserted women are also eligible.
• The applicant must have completed 21 years of age and must be below 60 years of age as on 1 January of the application calendar year.
• The applicant's family's combined annual income must not exceed ₹2,50,000.

Ineligibility Criteria

Women will not be eligible to receive benefits under the Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Scheme if any of the following conditions apply:

• Any family member is an income tax payer.
• Any family member is employed as a regular, permanent, or contract worker in a Central or State Government department, undertaking, board, or local body, or is receiving a pension after retiring from one, honorary workers and staff employed through outsourcing agencies remain eligible despite this condition.
• Any family member is a sitting or former Member of Parliament or MLA.
• The applicant or any family member is an elected representative, except for the positions of Panch and Up-Sarpanch.
• The applicant or any family member owns more than five acres of agricultural land.
• The applicant's family owns a registered four-wheeler, other than a tractor.
• The applicant is receiving a monthly amount of Rs. 1,000/- or more from another Government scheme.

Steps to Apply

• Eligible women can apply for the Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Scheme through the prescribed offline application process.
• Women can obtain the Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Scheme Application Form from the designated camp, Gram Panchayat, Ward Office or Anganwadi Centre and complete the required details.
• Fill in the required information in the Ladli Behna Scheme Application Form.
• Submit the filled form at the designated camp, Gram Panchayat or Ward Office, where the designated official will enter the application details online through the Ladli Behna portal or mobile app.
• The applicant woman must be personally present at the designated location for her live photograph and e-KYC.
• The applicant should carry her Family Samagra ID, own Samagra ID and Aadhaar Card for online application entry and e-KYC.
• After successful online entry of the Madhya Pradesh Ladli Behna Scheme application, the applicant will receive a printed acknowledgement receipt. The receipt may also be sent through SMS or WhatsApp.
• The complete application process for the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Scheme is free of cost.
• After the application submission period ends, the provisional beneficiary list will be published on the portal or mobile app and displayed at the Gram Panchayat or Ward level.
• Applicants can submit objections against the provisional list within 15 days through the portal or mobile app.
• They can also submit a written objection to the Panchayat Secretary or Ward In-charge or through CM Helpline 181.

Ladli Behna Yojana Instalment Date

The official Ladli Behna portal currently records more than 1.25 crore women registered under the scheme. Eligible women receive the monthly assistance in their own Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled bank accounts.
