Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme is one of the flagship social security pension schemes of the Haryana Government that provides monthly financial assistance to eligible senior citizens residing in the state. The primary objective of the scheme is to ensure financial security for elderly citizens by providing them with a regular source of income to meet their day-to-day expenses and lead a dignified and independent life. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment, Haryana and is also popularly known as the Haryana Old Age Pension Scheme or Financial Assistance to Senior Citizens Scheme.

In a major relief for senior citizens and other vulnerable sections of society, the Haryana Government has further enhanced the monthly pension under the Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme by Rs. 200, increasing the pension amount from Rs. 3,000/- to Rs. 3,200/-. Along with this revision, the Government has also increased the monthly financial assistance under other social security pension schemes, including the Disability Pension Scheme, Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme, and other pension schemes administered by the Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment, Haryana. The revised pension rates are effective from 1 November 2025, while the enhanced pension amount will be disbursed from February 2026. The monthly pension is credited directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Permanent residents of Haryana who are 60 years of age or above and whose annual family income does not exceed Rs. 3,00,000/- are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme. After successful verification of the application and supporting documents, the monthly pension is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account through the DBT system, ensuring transparent and timely payment without the involvement of any intermediary.

Eligible senior citizens can apply for the Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme through both online and offline modes. Online applications can be submitted through the Antyodaya SARAL Portal, while offline applications can be submitted at the District Office of the Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment. Applicants who satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions can apply to receive the revised monthly pension of Rs. 3,200/- under the scheme.

Eligibility Requirements

• The applicant must be a permanent resident (domiciled) of Haryana.
• The applicant must be 60 years of age or above.
• The combined annual income of the applicant and his/her spouse from all sources must not exceed Rs. 3,00,000/- per annum.
• Applicants already receiving a pension from the Government, Local Body, Statutory Body, or a Government-funded organisation are not eligible.
• Income from Provident Fund, annuities, or similar retirement benefits is treated as pension for eligibility purposes.

• Haryana Domicile/Residence Certificate.
• Age Proof (Birth Certificate, School Certificate, or any other valid document).
• Family Identity Card (PPP) (if applicable).
• Annual Income Certificate or other prescribed income proof.
• Bank Account Passbook (Aadhaar-linked).
• Recent passport-size photograph.
• Mobile Number.
• Any other document required by the Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment, Haryana, at the time of application.

Steps to Apply

Eligible senior citizens can apply for the Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme through online or offline mode. Online applications can be submitted through the Antyodaya SARAL Portal, while offline applications can be submitted at the District Office of the Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment or through the nearest Antyodaya SARAL Kendra.

Online Application Process

• Beneficiaries can apply for monthly pension under the Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme through the Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme is available on Antyoday Saral Portal of Haryana Government.
• Register on the portal by providing the required personal details if you are a new user.
• Log in to the portal using your registered credentials.
• Select Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme from the list of available services.
• Fill in the online application form with all the required details.
• Upload the prescribed supporting documents
• Review the application form carefully and submit it online.
• The submitted application and documents will be verified by the concerned District Social Welfare Officer.
• After successful verification and approval, the monthly pension of Rs. 3,200/- will be credited directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Offline Application Process

• Visit the nearest Antyodaya SARAL Kendra or the District Office of the Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment.
• Obtain the Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme application form.
• Fill in the application form carefully with all the required information.
• Attach self-attested copies of the prescribed documents.
• Submit the completed application form to the concerned office for verification.
• After successful verification and approval, the monthly pension will be credited directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT.
