Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Yuva Annadoot Yojana is a self-employment scheme launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh to provide unemployed youth with an opportunity to become transport entrepreneurs while supporting the state's Public Distribution System (PDS). Under the scheme, selected beneficiaries are entrusted with transporting ration and other food grains from government distribution centres to Fair Price Shops (FPS) using their own vehicles.

To help youth purchase these vehicles, the government facilitates bank loans of up to ₹25 lakh, provides a Margin Money Subsidy of up to ₹1.25 lakh, offers a 3% annual interest subsidy for 7 years, and reimburses the CGTMSE guarantee fee, significantly reducing the financial burden on beneficiaries.

The scheme is implemented by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Eligible applicants aged 18 to 45 years who possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving Licence can apply for the scheme. Selected beneficiaries receive an allotted transportation sector and earn income by delivering ration supplies to Fair Price Shops. In addition to ration transportation, vehicle owners may also undertake other commercial transportation activities, creating an additional source of income.

By replacing the traditional contractor-based transportation system with youth-led vehicle ownership, the scheme aims to improve transparency, ensure timely delivery of essential commodities, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities across rural and urban Madhya Pradesh.

The Mukhyamantri Yuva Annadoot Yojana is one of several livelihood and empowerment schemes being implemented by the Madhya Pradesh Government. Eligible beneficiaries may also benefit from schemes such as the Madhya Pradesh Pichhda Varg Tatha Alpsankhyak Swarojgar Yojana, Madhya Pradesh Pichhda Varg Tatha Alpsankhyak Udyam Yojana, Madhya Pradesh Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana, and Madhya Pradesh Resham Samriddhi Yojana, which focus on self-employment, entrepreneurship development, education, and income enhancement.
