Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

Madhya Pradesh Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana is an educational assistance scheme implemented by the Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, to encourage eligible girls to continue their studies after Class 10th. The scheme aims to improve literacy among tribal girls, increase their participation in higher secondary education, and reduce dropout rates caused by financial and social challenges. Under the scheme, eligible SC, ST, and Vimukt, Nomadic & Semi-Nomadic Tribe girls who pass the Class 10th examination and take admission in Class 11th as regular students in a recognised school receive a one-time financial incentive of ₹3,000. The assistance can be used to cover educational expenses such as books, stationery, uniforms, study materials, and other academic requirements. To further promote girls' education, the Government of Madhya Pradesh also operates several other beneficial schemes, including the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship Yojana, Gaon Ki Beti Yojana, and Balika Scooty Yojana, which help female students pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals.

The scheme is available to permanent resident girls of Madhya Pradesh belonging to the eligible SC, ST, and Vimukt, Nomadic & Semi-Nomadic Tribe categories. To receive the benefit, the student must have passed Class 10th, secured admission in Class 11th as a regular student, and fulfil the eligibility conditions prescribed by the respective department. Additionally, the parents or guardians of the applicant should not be Income Tax payers. According to information released by the SC Welfare department, 45,659 SC girls benefited under the scheme during the financial year 2025-26, highlighting its reach among students across the state.

Steps to Apply

Applicants can apply for the Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana through the offline mode. Eligible students can submit their applications with the assistance of their respective schools. • Obtain the Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana application form from the school principal, scholarship in-charge, or the concerned institution.
• Fill in all required details in the application form, including the student's name, Samagra ID, educational details, bank account information, mobile number, and other necessary particulars.
• Attach the required documents, such as the caste certificate, income certificate, domicile certificate, Class 10th marksheet, Samagra ID, bank passbook copy, passport-size photograph, and any other documents prescribed by the authorities.
• Submit the completed application form along with all supporting documents to the respective school.
• The school authorities will verify the application form and supporting documents submitted by the student.
• After verification, the school will forward the eligible applications to the concerned department for approval and benefit processing.
