Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Uttarakhand Divyang Yuvak/Yuvati Vivah Protsahan Yojana is an important social welfare scheme implemented by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. Eligibility Requirements

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand or must have been residing in the state for at least 5 years.
• The person with disability must possess a valid disability certificate showing at least 40% disability issued by the competent authority.
• The scheme is applicable in the following cases:
  • A marriage between a person with a disability and a person without a disability.
  • A marriage where both the bride and groom are persons with disabilities.
• The groom must be at least 21 years of age, and the bride must be at least 18 years of age at the time of marriage.
• At the time of application, neither the bride nor the groom should be more than 45 years of age.
• The marriage must be legally valid or solemnised according to the prevailing customs and traditions.
• Neither applicant should have a living spouse at the time of applying for the scheme.
• The applicants should not be income taxpayers.
• Neither of the spouses should have been convicted in any criminal case.
• The person with disability must possess a valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority.

Required Documents

• Permanent Residence Certificate of Uttarakhand or proof of residing in the state for at least 5 years.

• UDID (Unique Disability ID) Card, if available.
