Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Haryana Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojana is a housing assistance scheme launched by the Government of Haryana to provide financial support for the repair and renovation of old houses owned by economically weaker BPL families. The scheme is implemented by the Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes and Antyodaya (SEWA) Department, Haryana. Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive a one-time financial assistance of ₹80,000, which is transferred directly to their Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The financial assistance can be used to repair damaged roofs, walls, floors, doors, windows, and other essential parts of the house to improve safety and living conditions.

The objective of the scheme is to help economically weaker families maintain safe and livable homes by providing financial assistance for the repair and renovation of old houses. To avail of the benefit, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Haryana and belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), De-notified Tribe (DNT), or Tapriwas category. The applicant's annual family income should not exceed ₹1.80 lakh. The house for which assistance is sought must be owned by the applicant, be at least 10 years old, and require renovation or repair. The applicant must not have received financial assistance for repairing the same house from any other government department.

Applicants must submit the prescribed documents, including Aadhaar Card, caste certificate, domicile certificate, income certificate, proof of house ownership, Aadhaar-linked bank account details, photographs of the house, and the estimated cost of repairs. After verification of the application and supporting documents by the concerned department, the approved assistance is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account through DBT, ensuring transparency and timely payment.

Eligible applicants can apply for the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Naweenikaran Yojana online through the Antyodaya SARAL Portal or offline by visiting the nearest Antyodaya SARAL Kendra or Atal Seva Kendra. The concerned department verifies the applicant's eligibility, house ownership, and condition of the house before sanctioning the financial assistance.

Latest Update

The Haryana Government has announced that the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojana will be restarted on the occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Maharaj. The eligible families will receive benefits under the scheme as part of the government's housing assistance initiative.

Social Justice and Empowerment and Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi has directed officials to identify and select eligible families at the state level. The government has also expanded the scheme to cover poor families from all categories.

For poor families belonging to the Scheduled Caste category, the scheme will be restarted from 25 September 2026. Eligible families can avail themselves of the prescribed financial assistance for the renovation of their houses, subject to the applicable scheme conditions and verification by the concerned authorities.

Eligibility Requirements

• Proof of ownership of the house (Registry, Sale Deed, or any other valid ownership document).
• Bank Passbook.
• Family Income Certificate.
• Recent passport-size photograph.
• Recent photographs showing the current condition of the house requiring repair.
• Detailed estimate of the proposed house repair work.
• Mobile number for communication.
• Any two supporting documents related to the property, if required during verification, such as an electricity bill, water bill, or other valid property-related documents.
• Any other document required by the competent authority during verification.

Steps to Apply

Eligible applicants can apply for the scheme through any of the following methods:

Online Application

• Visit the SARAL Haryana Portal or the nearest Antyodaya SARAL Kendra.
• Register on the SARAL Portal if you are a new user, or log in using your existing credentials.
• Search for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojana and open the application form.
• Fill in the required personal, income, and house-related details.
• Upload the required documents and verify the information entered in the application.
• Submit the application and note down the application reference number for future tracking.
• The concerned department will verify the application and supporting documents.
• After successful verification and approval, the financial assistance will be transferred directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Offline Application

• Visit the nearest Antyodaya SARAL Kendra or Atal Seva Kendra.
• Provide the required details and submit the necessary documents.
• The operator will complete and submit the application on your behalf.
• Collect the application acknowledgement/receipt for future reference.

After Submission: The concerned department will verify the application and documents. If the application is approved, the financial assistance will be transferred directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT.
