Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Madhya Pradesh Resham Samriddhi Yojana is a sericulture development scheme approved by the Government of Madhya Pradesh to promote silk production, create sustainable livelihood opportunities, and strengthen the rural economy. On 14 October 2025, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet granted in-principle approval for the implementation of the Government of India's Silk Samagra-2 Scheme in the state with a 25% state contribution under the name Resham Samriddhi Yojana.

The scheme aims to encourage farmers and beneficiaries to adopt sericulture activities by providing substantial financial assistance for various silk production-related activities. Through this initiative, the state government seeks to expand silk production, increase farmer incomes, and create long-term employment opportunities in rural areas. Farmers looking for additional government support to increase their income and adopt sustainable agricultural activities may also explore other schemes offered by the Madhya Pradesh Government.

These include the Madhya Pradesh Rani Durgawati Shri Anna Protsahan Yojana, which promotes the cultivation of nutritious millets, the Madhya Pradesh Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana, which supports dairy farming and livestock-based livelihoods, and the Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Krishak Udyami Yojana, which provides financial assistance for establishing agriculture-based enterprises. Eligible beneficiaries may consider these schemes along with the Resham Samriddhi Yojana to diversify their sources of income and strengthen their agricultural activities.
