Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Odisha Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship 2026-27 is a merit-based scholarship for students studying in Class 11 and Class 12 in eligible Odia-medium Higher Secondary Schools affiliated with the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha (CHSE Odisha). The Government of Odisha provides this scholarship to encourage students who show proficiency in Mathematics and support them during their Higher Secondary education. A total of 1,000 students are selected for the scholarship every year.

Under the Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship Scheme, each selected student receives Rs 5,000 per year for 10 months. Students who received the scholarship in Class 11 can continue the benefit in Class 12 through the PSMTS renewal process, provided they qualify for promotion to the next higher class and continue their studies. The concerned institution verifies the student's continuation through the State Scholarship Portal. Students who drop out or fail to qualify for promotion are not validated for renewal. The scholarship guideline also allows a student to receive more than one scholarship at the same time, including PSMTS.

Renewal Process (Class XII)

Students who received the Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship in Class 11 can continue the scholarship in Class 12 through the renewal process, subject to the prescribed conditions. The renewal is verified online by the concerned Higher Secondary School or institution.

• The student must have been awarded the Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship in Class 11.
• The student must continue studying in Class 12 in the concerned academic year.
• The student must have qualified for promotion to the next higher class.

Selection Process

The selection for the Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship is based on the academic performance of eligible students in the HSC Examination. • For renewal, students who received the scholarship in the previous year must qualify for promotion to the next higher class and be authenticated by their concerned institution.
