Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a new scheme called the "Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana".
• This scheme focuses on strengthening the state's health sector and promises a free, cashless treatment of up to Rs 10 Lakh.
• To provide universal health cover and cashless medical treatment to all residents of Punjab, the state government launched this scheme.
• The scheme is an extended version of the "Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojana", which offered an annual cashless treatment of Rs 5 lakh.
• Under the Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana, the government has made some significant changes to the earlier scheme.

Scheme Benefits

• Under the Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana, the government will provide the following benefits to its beneficiaries: -
  • Free cashless treatment up to Rs. 10 lakh per family per year.
  • Health cover for all family members under a single card.
  • Coverage of more than 2,300 treatment packages, including surgeries, critical illness treatment, and pre-existing conditions.
  • Treatment available at all government and empanelled private hospitals across Punjab and Chandigarh.
  • No income limit, benefits are available to all families, regardless of their financial status.
  • Government employees and pensioners are also covered.
  • The scheme also covers 3 days of pre-hospitalisation and 15 days of post-hospitalisation expenses.

Eligibility Requirement

• To receive cashless treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh under Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana, beneficiaries must meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • Must be a domiciled resident of Punjab.
  • Must hold a Ration Card or BPL Card.
  • Pensioners and government employees are also eligible.

Required Documents

• While submitting the application form for the Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana, applicants must produce the following documents: -
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Voter ID Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Family ID
  • For Children: Aadhar, birth certificate, and parents' Voter ID Card.

Steps to Apply

• To get your MMSY Health Card, beneficiaries need to apply for the Punjab Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana.
• Before registration, residents are required to check their eligibility.
• If eligible, visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) and Sewa Kendra to complete your Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana registration.
• Bring all your documents to the registration point.
• A government official at the centre will help you fill out the Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana application form.
• Provide your name, Aadhaar number, Ration Card number, and bank details.
• Make sure all information matches your official documents exactly.
• After successful registration, you can collect your MMSY Sehat Card from the centre within 2 to 3 days.
