Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Madhya Pradesh Akanksha Yojana is a free coaching scheme launched by the Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, to help Scheduled Tribe (ST) students prepare for national-level entrance examinations after Class 10. Under this scheme, eligible students studying in Class 11 and Class 12 receive free coaching for Engineering, Medical, and Law entrance examinations at selected reputed coaching institutes. Along with free coaching, the government also provides hostel accommodation, electricity, water, sports facilities, and academic support so that students can continue their studies in a conducive learning environment without financial burden.

The primary objective of the MP Akanksha Yojana is to improve the representation of tribal students in prestigious professional institutions across the country. Students selected under the scheme can prepare for Engineering, Medical, and Law entrance examinations through quality coaching centres located in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior. Each coaching institute provides 200 seats, including 100 seats for Engineering, 50 seats for Medical, and 50 seats for Law aspirants, with admission granted through a merit-based entrance examination conducted by the respective coaching institute. The scheme also provides monthly food assistance of Rs. 1,650 for boys and Rs. 1,700 for girls to support students during their studies.

To become eligible for the Madhya Pradesh Akanksha Yojana, applicants must be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh, belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, have secured at least 60% marks in the Class 10 Board Examination, and have taken admission in Class 11. The annual family income of the applicant's parents or guardian should not exceed Rs. 6 lakh. Applicants are also required to complete profile registration on the MPTAAS Portal, possess a Digital Caste Certificate, and have an Aadhaar-linked bank account before submitting the online application.

Coaching Seat Allocation

Final admission is granted based on the candidate's performance in the entrance examination conducted by the respective coaching institute and the merit list prepared thereafter.

Steps to Apply

• After successful registration, log in to the MPTAAS Portal using the registered User ID and Password.

• Enter your Class 10 Board Examination Roll Number. The system will automatically fetch the available academic details.

• After successful submission, download or print the application acknowledgement for future reference.

• Final selection under the Madhya Pradesh Akanksha Yojana will be made on the basis of the merit list prepared from the entrance examination conducted by the coaching institute.
