Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Aapki Beti Scheme, also known as Aapki Beti Scholarship Yojana, is a social welfare initiative implemented by the School Education Department, Government of Rajasthan, through the Rajasthan Balika Shiksha Foundation. The scheme is designed to support girl students studying in government schools from Class 1 to 12 who belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families and are either orphaned or belong to single-parent households.

The main objective of the scheme is to reduce financial barriers and ensure the continuation of education among economically weaker and vulnerable girl students.

Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided annually, Rs 2,100 for students of Classes 1 to 8 and Rs 2,500 for students of Classes 9 to 12. The amount is directly transferred to the beneficiary's bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring transparency and efficiency.

The scheme is implemented through the Shala Darpan Portal, where school authorities are responsible for data entry, verification, and approval at multiple levels. Final approval is completed at the District Education Officer (DEO) level through OTP-based authentication.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicant must be a native of Rajasthan
• Applicant must be a girl student.
• Must be studying in a government school in Rajasthan
• Must be enrolled in Classes 1 to 12
• Family must belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category
• Applicant must be an orphan (loss of one or both parents) or from a single-parent household
• Applicant must have a bank account linked with Jan Aadhaar (mandatory for DBT transfer)

• Passport-sized photograph
• Identity proof of the student
• Educational certificates/school records
• BPL Certificate
• Death certificate of the parent
• Jan Aadhaar card (student or family head)
• Bank passbook linked with Jan Aadhaar
• Any additional documents, if required by the school authorities

Steps to Apply

Students can apply for the Rajasthan Aapki Beti Yojana, with the help of their school. For this, they need to follow the process shared here:

• Step 1: School Level Data Entry
  • Visit the respective government school
  • School authorities log in to the Shala Darpan Portal
  • Go to the "Student" tab
  • Fill Student Details Entry Form-9
• Step 2: Beneficiary Selection Under "Mandatory Student Information for Beneficiary Schemes"
  • Select eligible students under the "BPL" and "Orphan/Single Parent" categories,
  • Submit class-wise data
• Step 3: Approval and locking the Open Beneficiary Scheme Portal in the school login
  • Select Aapki Beti Scheme
  • Approve and lock the eligible student list
• Step 4: DEO Verification
  • Data forwarded to the District Education Officer (DEO) login
  • Verification done at the district level
• Step 5: Final Approval
  • OTP-based authentication completed by DEO
  • Final approval granted
     
• Note: Only school authorities can apply on behalf of students; students cannot apply directly through any public portal.
