Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

To make higher education more accessible for eligible girl students belonging to the Most Backward Class (MBC) category in Rajasthan, the Rajasthan Government launched the Devnarayan Chatra Scooty Distribution and Incentive Scheme in 2018. Scheme Benefits

The Rajasthan Devnarayan Scooty Scheme provides eligible girl students with transportation and financial support for continuing higher education. The benefit received depends on the student's selection under the applicable scooty distribution or incentive component of the scheme.

Benefits for Students Selected for Scooty:

• Eligible students selected for the scooty benefit receive a free scooty under the scheme.
• For the 2025-26 distribution process, the Department of College Education is using an e-RUPI voucher-based mechanism for scooty distribution. The voucher is issued for the amount approved by the Finance Department.
• The e-RUPI voucher is sent to the mobile number registered with the student's Jan Aadhaar. Therefore, students must ensure that their Jan Aadhaar contains the correct mobile number.
• The government provides one year of general insurance along with the scooty.
• The student receives 2 litres of petrol as a one-time benefit.
• The government bears the applicable transportation expenses up to the delivery of the scooty.

Financial Incentive Benefit:

• Eligible students who receive the incentive benefit instead of the scooty can receive Rs. 10,000 per year during graduation, subject to the applicable scheme conditions.
• Eligible students can receive Rs. 20,000 per year during postgraduate studies, subject to the applicable scheme conditions.
• Rs. 20,000/- in the second year of postgraduate study, payable only if the student scored 50% or more in the first year of postgraduate study

Eligibility Requirements
