Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview
The Rajasthan Nari Shakti Prashikshan Evam Kaushal Samvardhan Yojana is a Rajasthan Government initiative that provides free skill training to eligible women and girls to improve their digital, financial and communication skills and support their economic self-reliance. The Women Empowerment Directorate implements the scheme through Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited (RKCL) at designated IT Gyan Kendras. The scheme covers three training courses: RS-CIT, RS-CFA and RS-CSEP. This scheme is not new; it is a renamed version of the earlier Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Prashikshan and Kaushal Samvardhan Scheme.
Under RS-CIT, beneficiaries receive basic computer and information technology training for 132 hours or three months. RS-CFA provides training in computerised financial accounting, Tally and GST-enabled accounting for 100 hours. RS-CSEP provides Spoken English and Personality Development training for 130 hours. The government bears the prescribed training cost for selected beneficiaries, making these courses available without training fees.
The Rajasthan Nari Shakti Prashikshan Evam Kaushal Samvardhan Yojana eligibility depends on the selected course. Women and girls aged 16 to 40 years who have passed Class 10 can apply for RS-CIT. RS-CFA is available to Class 12-pass applicants aged 16 to 40 years, while RS-CSEP is available to Class 12-pass applicants aged 16 to 45 years. For the 2026 application, the age is calculated according to the applicant's completed age as on 1 January 2026.
The scheme gives priority to specified categories, including widows, divorced or abandoned women and women affected by violence. It also provides 18% reservation for Scheduled Caste and 14% for Scheduled Tribe candidates. After selection, candidates must complete biometric registration and maintain at least 65% biometric attendance to become eligible for the prescribed examination and certificate. The 2026 application process used Jan Aadhaar authentication and OTP verification, followed by course, district, tehsil and IT Gyan Kendra preference selection. The 2026 notification invited applications for all three courses until 25 August 2026.
