Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

The Bihar Divyangjan Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana is a financial assistance scheme launched by the Government of Bihar under the Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Chhatra Yojana 'Sambal'. Under the scheme, candidates who qualify the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination receive a one-time incentive of ₹1,00,000, while candidates who qualify the BPSC Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination receive ₹50,000. The assistance amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system after successful verification of the application.

To become eligible, applicants must be permanent residents of Bihar with at least 40% disability. They should belong to the BC, EWS, or General category and must not be employed in any Government department, public sector undertaking, board, corporation, or any Government-funded institution. The benefit is provided only once, even if an applicant qualifies both the UPSC and BPSC Preliminary Examinations.

The Bihar Government operates this scheme as part of the broader Bihar Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana initiative. Under this umbrella programme, separate incentive schemes have been introduced for different categories of candidates, including the Mahila Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana for women, the Anusuchit Jaati Evam Janjaati Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, and the EBC Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana for eligible persons with disabilities. Eligibility Requirements
