Applications are handled offline through the student's Sanskrit school, not a public online portal, and the scholarship is paid by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) straight into the girl's bank account - which is why an Aadhaar-linked account is essential. Since only 175 scholarships are available each cycle, girls are advised to submit their documents to the school principal early in the academic session and follow up, as selection also depends on complete, correctly verified paperwork being forwarded on time.

Steps to Apply

The Uttarakhand Gargi scholarship follows an offline, school-driven application route rather than a public online form, which means your school plays the lead role in submitting your case.

• Keep your documents ready - mainly your Aadhaar card and bank account details.
• Submit these documents to the Principal of your Sanskrit school
• The Principal forwards the eligible applications, with a recommendation, to the Assistant Director (Sahayak Nideshak) of Sanskrit Education.
• The applications are sent up to the Director for scrutiny and approval.
• After the Director's approval, the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy transfers the scholarship online into each selected student's bank account.
