Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview
Pursuing higher education is a dream for many students, but the cost of professional and technical education often becomes a major financial burden for families. To ensure that children of registered unorganised workers are not deprived of higher education due to financial constraints, the Government of Madhya Pradesh introduced the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Shiksha Protsahan) Yojana.
Under this scheme, the State Government bears the approved educational fees of eligible students pursuing specified higher education courses. The scheme covers a wide range of courses, including Engineering, Medical, Law, Graduation, Polytechnic, ITI and Paramedical programmes, subject to the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Government. Instead of providing a fixed scholarship amount, the scheme directly supports students by paying the approved educational fees for eligible courses.
If your father or mother is registered as an unorganised worker under the Labour Department of Madhya Pradesh and you wish to pursue higher education, this scheme can help reduce your educational expenses. In this article, you'll find complete information about the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Shiksha Protsahan) Yojana, including its benefits, eligibility, covered courses, financial assistance, required documents and application process.
